My name is Renee Plaza, M.A. and I am presently completing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I received my Masters in Forensic Psychology at George Washington University. As a therapist, I strive to work with adults from a variety of backgrounds to aid in their identity formation, problem-solving and coping skills. My previous training has been in a myriad of settings including private clinics, behavior hospitals, and community mental health centers focused on specific issues.
My therapeutic approach is primarily person-centered, as I seek to work with each individual to discover their most genuine selves. Our personal identities and how we feel about ourselves are closely interconnected with how we manage both every day and life changing problems. With that, I am propelled to aid others in the very intimate process of self-discovery and to help them see how challenges impact their lives and experiences.
