I am Daniel Komar. I am a counselor at IPG, and currently pursuing licensure in the state of Delaware. I am originally from Jamesville, New York, and was raised in Danville, Pennsylvania. I received my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Juniata College in 2018 and my M.A. in Applied Clinical Psychology in 2021 from Penn State Harrisburg in Pennsylvania. I have competency and interest in serving others in the LGBTQIA+ community members. I have treated individuals dealing with stress and mood-related symptoms, thought-related disorders, and individuals coping with substance use symptoms. I can provide group and individual therapy sessions with a therapy style which often uses interventions from cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy as needed. I have a firm belief that counseling should be allied to a client’s culture, molded to their goals, and evidence based.
