Integrative Psychology Group, LLC

An innovative, multi-specialty psychology practice

Marcus Scarfo, MA

Marcus is a counseling intern with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling. He
takes a collaborative, strength-based approach to therapy with his clients, working together
with them to promote growth and wellness. Marcus has experience working with adolescents
in the juvenile probation system as well as providing both individual and group therapy
services for children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health. He specializes in
trauma recovery and narrative art techniques to explore your story, as well as mindfulness-based
art to reduce stress.

Marcus prefers to utilize the therapeutic properties of art with his clients. Clients will
often make art during their sessions and reflect on the creative process. This approach can help
individuals gain insight into their lives and make meaning of their experiences. The creative
process can also provide many other benefits such as calming, stress-reduction, focus, cathartic
release of energy, conflict resolution, and increased self-esteem and self-awareness. All of
these benefits can be experienced without any prior artistic experience! If you or your child are
ready to enhance your well-being through the creative process, contact IPG today and ask for
