Dr. Gina Mattei is a post-doctoral Psychology Assistant at Integrative Psychology Group, LLC. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State in 2012 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2019. Dr. Mattei completed an APA accredited internship at The Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania and she has provided therapy and psychological assessment to children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health clinics, schools, and college counseling centers throughout her training.
As a therapist, Dr. Mattei’s focus is to provide individual, family, and group interventions for children and adolescents age 4 years and older. She also provides individual therapy for adults. Dr. Mattei specializes in treating concerns of adjustment, traumatic stress, anxiety and depression, behavior problems, and social/academic difficulties. Her therapy approach is client-centered, culturally sensitive, and informed by research-supported treatments, including cognitive-behavior therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-specific interventions. Her goal is to provide a safe space for healing and to apply treatment that reflects each person’s unique needs.
Dr. Mattei also provides comprehensive psychological evaluations aimed at identifying accurate diagnosis, assessing strengths and areas for growth, and designing recommendations to help each person reach their full potential. She can provide a variety of assessments for individuals aged 4 years and older, including evaluations of: intellectual disability, learning disability, gifted assessment, language disorder, memory and executive functioning, AD/HD, developmental delays, social/pragmatic communication disorders, and concerns of behavior and mood.
